The SonicWALL Secure Distributed Wireless Solution is built around their award-winning line of network security appliances in combination with SonicPoints™ to extend secure wireless coverage across the network. Available in IEEE 802.11a/b/g and 802.11b/g options, SonicPoints are dependent access points that provide secure wireless LAN connectivity to users on the network. Utilizing the Virtual Access Point (VAP) feature, SonicPoints can broadcast up to eight distinct SSIDs with dedicated authentication and privacy settings while sharing the same physical infrastructure. SonicPoints require no independent pre-configuration, as they are centrally configured, managed and updated by any SonicWALL network security appliance.

Acting as a wireless LAN controller SonicWALL TZ, PRO, NSA and E-Class NSA Series appliances automatically detect and configure SonicPoints as they are added to the network while simultaneously enforcing security policies on all wired and wireless traffic. Wireless for the Enterprise - Private/Public Access for Indoor/Outdoor and Extended Reach Applications - As a Authorized Elite SMC Partner, TTJ NetCom uses SMC wireless for highly versatile applications. The EliteConnect™ 802.11a/g Wireless Outdoor Access Point/Bridge is designed to bridge two or more wired LAN’s (usually located in different buildings), while simultaneously providing wireless access to local or mobile users. The SMC2890W-AG/SMC2891W-AG incorporates a dual radio architecture to bridge over one wireless band and provide wireless client access over the other band. The Dual-Band Outdoor Access Point/Bridge is completely weatherproof and capable of being installed in a wide variety of different environments. It comes in two models, SMC2890W-AG and SMC2891W-AG, the latter with built-in 17dBi 5GHz antenna, and uses Wireless Distribution System (WDS) to allow bridging between remote locations. Up to six WDS bridge links are supported to remote LAN’s and branch locations. Dual radio architecture allows for different bridging options using either the 802.11a or 802.11b/g wireless band. As an alternative, if the bridging functionality is not required, you can use both 802.11a and 802.11b/g in access point mode.
